Biography: The Neighbourhood
The Neighbourhood is a band from California that formed in August 2011. The members are Jesse Rutherford (singer), Jeremy Freedman and Zach Abels (guitarists), Mikey Margott (bassist), and Bryan Sammis (drummer).
After making two short albums, or EPs, called I’m Sorry… and Thank You, the band released their first full album I Love You. on April 23, 2013, through Columbia Records. In 2012, they released songs like “Female Robbery” and “Sweater Weather.” They also shared a free EP called I’m Sorry…, produced by Justyn Pilbrow.
The band is known for using black-and-white themes in their photos, music videos, and album covers. Their first big music video, “Sweater Weather,” came out on March 5, 2013.
Their album I Love You. was described as “moody” and “atmospheric” by Rolling Stone. It came out on April 23, 2013, and reached number 39 on the Billboard Charts.
