Flatland Cavalry and Kaitlin Butts will join her on this tour. In June, Lainey released her Apple Music Sessions EP, recorded in London. It includes covers of “Come Together” by The Beatles and “Someone You Loved” by Lewis Capaldi, plus a new version of her song “Devil Don’t Go There.”
Her new song “Somewhere Over Laredo” became her most streamed song in one day, with 1.16 million streams. It’s part of the deluxe version of her album Whirlwind, coming out on August 22. In the past year, Lainey has won many awards:
- 4 ACM Awards, including Entertainer of the Year
- Best Country Album at the Grammy Awards
- 2 CMA Awards, where she also hosted the show
She was also inducted into the Grand Ole Opry, scored 8 No. 1 hits, and released “Trailblazer” with Reba McEntire and Miranda Lambert. Next year, she will make her movie debut in the film Reminders of Him.
