ColdPlay Music of the Spheres World Tour 2025

Coldplay Music of the Spheres World Tour 2025: Coldplay is on their eighth tour, the Music of the Spheres World Tour. The show promotes their ninth and tenth studio albums, Music of the Spheres (2021) and Moon Music (2024). Starting at San José’s Estadio Nacional de Costa Rica on 18 March 2022, the tour will culminate at Wembley Stadium on 8 September 2025.

The band returns to live performances after COVID-19. Environmental issues prevented them from touring Everyday Life (2019). Unlike the Head Full of Dreams Tour (2016–17), they spent two years devising techniques to minimize CO₂ emissions by 50%.

On October 14, 2021, Coldplay announced the tour a day before Music of the Spheres launched. The concerts employ fireworks and confetti like the 2011–12 Mylo Xyloto Tour. They were modified to reduce the group’s carbon footprint.

Also considered was making the first transportable rechargeable show batteries with BMW and planting a tree for every ticket sold. Coldplay was named one of the most prominent climate action leaders by Time after cutting emissions by 59% in the first two years of the tour. Pollstar said they started “a new era of sustainable touring.”

The Music of the Spheres World Tour made $1.20 billion from 10.9 million tickets across 184 dates, becoming the most attended tour ever and the first by a band to earn over $1 billion. While touring, they set records.

Many music journalists commended Coldplay’s stage presence, skill, variety, and joy, as well as the show’s production value. The 2023 concert film Music of the Spheres: Live at River Plate featured their Buenos Aires appearances.
