Girls Just Wanna Have Fun Farewell Tour: American performer Cyndi Lauper is on her sixteenth tour, titled Girls Just Wanna Have Fun Farewell. She calls her final major tour “Girls Just Want to Have Fun” after her first single in 1983. The 60-show tour began in Montreal, Canada on October 18, 2024 and ended in Bonner Springs, Kansas on August 9, 2025.
Lauper announced the farewell tour in June 2024, saying she is not retiring and will perform occasionally. She wanted to do an arena tour while she’s “strong now, but [she doesn’t] know what [she is] going to be like in four years.” She also wants to celebrate with people and make it fun. The current trek is her first world tour since the 2016 Detour Tour and her first all-arena tour since 1986’s True Colors World Tour.
The tour corresponds with her 2023 Tribeca Festival documentary Let The Canary Sing. A “career-spanning collection” of Lauper’s work was issued by Legacy Records, the catalog division of Sony Music Entertainment.
