Shakira is a famous Latin pop singer and songwriter. She is from Barranquilla, Colombia. She signed her first music deal when she was only 13 years old. In the 1990s, she became very popular in Latin America with Spanish albums like Pies Descalzos and Dónde Están los Ladrones?.
