The Academy Is Announce Almost Here 20th Anniversary Tour: After weeks of teasing and speculation, The Academy Is has officially announced their return with the Almost Here 20th Anniversary Tour. The 14-date run will take the pop-punk icons across the United States this November and December in celebration of their landmark debut album. Kicking off November 13 in Columbus, OH, the tour will hit select cities including Boston, Brooklyn, and Los Angeles before wrapping up on December 20 in Santa Ana, CA. Fans can also catch the band performing Almost Here in its entirety at Riot Fest in Chicago, IL on September 20.
The Academy Is… are making headlines not only for their return but also for their exclusive VIP packages, priced between $275 and $5,500. The “Attention Attention” VIP experience includes a general admission ticket, a meet and greet with the band, a signed VIP laminate, a commemorative show ticket, early entry, and early merch shopping. The top-tier “Almost Here” package ups the ante by allowing fans to “open for The Academy Is…” without the pressure of performing, plus all the perks of the “Attention Attention” package. It also includes access for up to three guests, backstage green room privileges, a personal show rider, exclusive show memorabilia and custom art, and a lifetime spot on the band’s guest list.
