Who is A Boogie Wit Da Hoodie?
A Boogie Wit Da Hoodie is a rapper and singer from the Bronx, New York. His real name is Artist Julius Dubose. His stage name comes from the character Ace Boogie in the 2002 film Paid in Full.
He started his career by releasing mixtapes and an EP. In 2017, he released his debut album The Bigger Artist after signing with Atlantic Records. The album helped him gain wider attention in the hip-hop scene.
He continued his success with more popular projects. These include Hoodie SZN (2018), Artist 2.0 (2020), and Me vs. Myself (2022). These albums featured hit songs and strong chart performances.
Outside of music, A Boogie also works in entertainment. Since 2022, he has voiced the character Francis “KG” Leibowitz-Jenkins in the Disney+ animated series The Proud Family: Louder and Prouder.
His most recent album, Better Off Alone, was released in May 2024. The project added new music to his growing discography and continued his presence in the industry.
