About Keith Sweat

Keith Sweat is an R&B singer, songwriter, and producer from Harlem, New York. He helped create the New Jack Swing style, which mixes R&B with hip-hop beats. In the 1980s, he sang in nightclubs around New York City until he was discovered and signed to Elektra Records in 1987.

His first album, Make It Last Forever, was a big success and sold three million copies. His albums Get Up (1994) and Keith Sweat (1996) both reached the Billboard Top 10 and sold over one million copies. These albums featured well-known songs like “Nobody” and “Twisted.”
