Their manager, Silje Larsen Borgan, said the shows will be a unique experience. She explained that the concerts will include parts from earlier projects. She also said she hopes for new music.
The rumors began on Monday when all of Karpe’s Instagram posts disappeared. Later, a video showed a girl and a man in a helicopter flying over a forest. They saw inflatable pigs and money floating outside before looking down at a giant concert site. In the comments, Karpe wrote: “A lot to discover in the forest in Oslo.” Many fans started to believe a new album or a big forest concert might be coming.
Karpe is known for special launches. Between 2015 and 2017, they released Heisann Montebello — nine songs with music videos, ending with three concerts at Oslo Spektrum and a movie called Adjø Montebello.
In 2019, they dropped the album SAS PLUS/SAS PUSSY as one 30-minute track. In 2022, they released the Omar Sheriff EP with a looping film. That same year, they also sold out Oslo Spektrum ten times.
